Seeing the Maple Leaf resembles that we are one, we are equal, we are one nation.
Judges Comments:
  1. The photo perfectly represents its' message. Beautiful work.
  2. This was one of my many favourites of this contest. It was not easy to choose. Like I said before, this photo is so powerful and could speak volumes about reconciliation.
  3. This one was the highest score for a reason. At first glance it appeared to be a first nations person holding the maple leaf - which resembles Canada. I felt that the leaf changing color meant change for Canada is coming.

I love taking photos at Pisew Falls Provincial Park. Why? There is a never ending ebb and flow, the true definition of Environment & Lands. Each year the falls proves that it can flow and form structures; formulating new paths by flowing in whatever direction it wants to. Even slowly cutting into the land and molding rocks over time. That is the power of water and nature. This picture was taken with iPhone XR
